| <b>Yuna</b> On America's Famous Talk Show, Conan O'Brien Posted: 04 Apr 2012 04:11 AM PDT Congratulations to our singer, Yuna who successfully mesmerized audiences with her natural performance on America's famous talk show hosted by Conan O'Brien. According to the show's official website, Yuna was invited to perform her latest single entitled Live Your Life a collaboration with Pharell Williams. For that show, Yuna filled in the last segment after guest celebrity Neil Patrick Harris from the sitcom How I Met Your Mother and Kate Miccuci from the television series Scrubs. Immediately making a name for herself there, Yuna has never stopped even for a while to find a place at Uncle Sam's and now the proof is that she is already known there having receive an invitation to the talk show watched by millions of viewers. Although she lost to Charice from the Philippines in the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award 2012 fro Favorite Asian Act, that advantage provided an opportunity for Yuna to continue being successful there. A little about Yuna or her full name Yunalis Zarai, she started out as an indie singer before giving a new breathe of life in the vocal art industry with her casual music. This gal from Alor Setar, Kedah is also famous for her image of singing while plucking the guitar which has become a following for several other young singers including Ana Raffali and Najwa Latif. Yuna highlighted her talent since 2006 by performing an acoustic show. Yuna's talent was eventually sniffed out by a recording company based in New York, United States namely Fader Label. She signed a contract with that label and in the following month she launched her first EP in that country. She is currently traveling back and forth between US and Malaysia to ensure her singing career is also going smoothly in her own country. Yuna also opened a boutique called lamjetfuel in Subang Jaya. In the 18th Music Industry Award (AIM18), Yuna won the Kembara Award. The collaboration will see Yuna using the evolutionary new hybrid smartphone – Samsung GALAXY Note – to produce "The Sparkle Project", the first music video in Malaysia recorded completely with Samsung GALAXY Note. The award-winning songstress, known for her popular songs, such as "Gadis Semasa" and "Live Your Life". Her unique indie-vibe and versatile approach to music has given millions a lot of listening pleasure. "As a global leader in digital media and digital convergence, we are certainly proud to work together with Yuna in this project," said Lee Jui Siang, Head of Mobile Phone Division, Samsung Malaysia Electronics. He added, "Yuna's popularity is an ideal match to our latest smartphone because she inspires people to express themselves creatively and Samsung GALAXY Note allows users to freely create, edit and share their artistic side." Yuna, who is currently based in the United States, was in town recently to meet her fans and make her maiden appearance at the Samsung GALAXY Note Studio roadshow for the announcement of her collaboration with Samsung Malaysia for "The Sparkle Project". Apart from having her caricature drawn, she also performed her single 'Sparkle' at the event, much to the delight of her fans. Speaking about her creative partnership with Samsung Malaysia for the Samsung GALAXY Note, Yuna beamed, "I am really honoured to have this opportunity to be associated with this wonderful technology that I can truly relate to." She added, "There is so much I can do with the Samsung GALAXY Note and it is slowly becoming my most treasured companion as it allows me to express my creativity and stay connected wherever I go." Samsung customers and fans of Yuna will be able to be part of "The Sparkle Project" in co-creating the music video by submitting visual suggestions and ideas for her single via digital space.
