It's a good thing. It's the breeding ground for new talents and it is a level playing field. If you've got what it takes, you'll make it one way or the other. Although breaking away from the traditional way of creating, marketing and selling music has helped propelled many new talents to greater heights in their careers, it is still a walk on a tightrope for many Muslim female artist. Caught between the "sex sells" approach that finds success overseas and "limitations to what you can do as a Muslim", it's a no comfort zone. Nevertheless, talent begs to be heard and nothing is stopping them from walking the tightrope. So here's a BIG Salute to you guys!
