mmm, Fresh produce! There will be a farmer's market at Marina Park from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today. For more info, click here.

BOCCE! The bocce club of the South Kingstown Senior Center meets today, at 10 a.m. For more info, click here.

The business of government business. The Narragansett Planning Board meets at 6 p.m. This might shock you, but the meeting is at town hall. (Weird, I know.)

Blogging, events, letters, what more could you want? Many people often ask me, "Hey are you the Patch guy?" And the answer is yes, yes I am. Then, most often they want to know how they can get things on the site. Let me present you with three options:

  • The easiest way for me is if you use our blog form. If you have a user account, congrats! You can submit directly to our queue by going here. For more info on blogging, go here.

  • If you think your item is more appropriate for the events calendar, that's a simple enough process as well. Go here, and then hit the "Add An Event" button at the bottom of the page. (Note: You might want to search for your event first, since we do have a calendar editor that adds things on her own awesome initiative.)

  • Finally, do you need some input before posting? Or do you have a release that is more of a traditional "letter to the editor" thing? Fine then – send it along to me, either at stephen.greenwell@patch.com or narragansett@patch.com.

Happy Father's Day, again! On this day in 1910, the first Father's Day was celebrated in Spokane, WA.

Happy birthda- holy smokes, you're 45 now??? Uh, yes, Mia Sara, the fresh-faced starlet in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, is now 45. This makes me feel old.
