Music is one of the most powerful forces of unification. It brings people together worldwide regardless of religion, race and creed. Music has the power to heal, the power to help, the power to inspire, and the power to change. Yuna understands just the importance of music, which is why she writes songs that transcend any and all boundaries. With her soft vocals and warm acoustic guitars, this Malaysian born singer-songwriter crafts intriguing and infectious ruminations on life, love and so much more. Yuna's US debut, Decorate, is colored with the textures and tones that will resonate with listeners everywhere.

Yuna describes her music, "It's pop rock, but I like to experiment and incorporate elements of jazz, bossa nova and indie. There are no borders when it comes to writing songs."

This 24-year-old deeply recognizes a larger goal with her music. Growing up Muslim in Malaysia, Yuna became inspired by the likes of No Doubt, The Cranberries and Fiona Apple, whose universal appeal inspired her. There's a certain honesty inherent in the music across Decorate's landscape. Yuna continues, "The message is direct, and people can interpret the songs however they want. I want people to relate to the songs. I'm just a normal girl who loves music. It's very simple, straight-forward and honest. I'm always observing real life situations, and there's a story behind every song."

While in law school, at 19, Yuna picked up a guitar and began to fervently create. She states, "Studying law almost killed my creative side, and I needed balance so that's when I started writing. I joined a lot of art groups. I love sketching, fashion, photography, web design and graphic design. My ideas spread through everything; it's just natural."

Yuna released her self-titled five song EP in 2008 and instantly began turning heads. "A Deeper Conversation" was actually the second song that she ever wrote, becoming a massive success in Malaysia. At the country's music awards, AIM in 2009, "A Deeper Conversation" was awarded Best English Song. Yuna swept the ceremony, garnering Best Pop Song and Song of the Year for "Dan Sebernarnya" as well. However, she began making her American debut to a raving audience at SXSW in 2010, and this August her video for "I Decorate" was up for Video of the Week on mtvU.com.

Decorate released on The Fader Label, is the world's first true exposure to Yuna, "Basically, the EP is an introduction to me; the album is much more in-depth. I'm experimenting with a whole bunch of styles and melodies."

Yuna's song "Rocket" has already spoken to fans all over the globe, exceeding over one-million plays on her MySpace page and establishing her formidable online presence. "Rocket" soars with a refrain that's both soothing and soulful. For Yuna, the track is particularly special, "I was by the beach in Malaysia, and I wanted to add some of that spirit to the song. Basically, it's about somebody who always supports you no matter what.

Yuna's talents extend well beyond music. In 2009, she opened up I am Jet Fuel — a successful couture boutique. "Everything with the store has been going fantastically," she exclaims, "I love picking out clothes and styles for our guests. It's also another way to interact and connect with people beyond the music."

In the end, Yuna plans on bridging gaps in her effort to unify as many people as possible, she sums it up by saying, "The words are the most important part of the songs. I want listeners to appreciate the words and feel them. If they can feel what I feel, I'm doing my job. I would like my songs to fill voids. Decorate is an escape when you listen to it."

Lee Joon showed that he has affection towards Kim Yuna in front of Oh Yeon Seo.

On the October 6th episode of MBC's 'We Got Married', Julien Kang-Yoon Se Ah, Kwang Hee-Han Sun, and Lee Joon-Oh Yeon Seo couples met up at the 'WGM Town'.

Oh Yeon Seo mentioned on the episode that Lee Joon talked about Kim Yuna when he was asked about entertainers he likes. On the program, Lee Joon first called Oh Yeon Seo by her original name Haetnim then said, "I almost called out Kim Yuna by force of habit."

Oh Yeon Seo had kept that in mind so Lee Joon said, "It's not like that. She's like a textbook to me" then he stopped. Lee Joon could tell that Oh Yeon Seo was not a fan of this line of talk.

Oh Yeon Seo asked "Is Kim Yuna is the only female athlete?" and Lee Joon answered "I like Son Yeon Jae too" and had the viewers laugh.
