He came, he ran and he promoted his latest movie, Lari.

We arrived at Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil around 7:30am last Wednesday to run with Aaron Aziz. We were given the impression from the title of the event poster (Lari Amal Bersama Aaron Aziz/ Run with Aaron Aziz) that we get to run with him. Anyway, we were told that Aaron was going to run five rounds in the stadium.

Aaron was already in the stadium with the ERA FM radio crew when came into the stadium. He was wearing a sponsored cotton T-shirt, cap, a pair of Reebok track bottom and Adidas sneakers, not forgetting the Rayban.

After a quick photo op with the photographers, he started the run. ERA FM had pledge to promote Aaron's latest action flick every hour on air if he complete the run.

According to Aaron, he is not much of a runner; prefers doing weights in the gym. No wonder, by the second lap, he had slowed down from a jog to a walk.

He is no Usain Bolt but Aaron completed the 5 laps in the name of charity nonetheless. (Insert applause here).

Aaron is Red Ribbon's Celebrity Supporter for MAC whom he plays a vital role in elevating knowledge and understanding, changing perceptions and to creating an opportunity for greater public involvement in HIV prevention.

By completing his run, Aaron also urge Malaysian to help the Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) by donating generously to help the people living with HIV.

Lari (translated - "Run" in Malay) is Aaron's latest movie which is showing in cinemas starting 6 June at cinemas all over Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. The movie is directed by Ahmad Idham (blue shirt below) and have been screened at the Marche du Film award event in conjunction with the Cannes Film Festival.

"Lari" is about a man who goes on a one-man hunt for his little sister, who is been captured by human traffickers after their father was murdered.

Watch the trailer below.

Do your bit to help Aaron Aziz to help people living with HIV by donating to MAC. A minimum of RM1 is accepted and donations of RM50 and above made within Malaysia are tax exempted. More info HERE.
