Pierre McGuire Called Marc-Andre Fleury a Pez Dispenser ...

After the 2nd goal for the Blue Jackets in the opening five minutes of Game 3 on Monday night, Pierre McGuire called for Dan Bylsma to call a timeout or pull Marc-Andre Fleury from the game, and that he was 'melting down.' Bylsma opted for the timeout. The Penguins got on the board late in the 2nd, rallied in the 3rd, and ultimately won the game 4-3 to take a 2-1 series lead.

Boone Jenner opens the scoring off of a rebound very early in the game. This is the first time I can recall a goalie being referred to as a Pez dispenser. What an analogy.

Jack Johnson makes the score 2-0 and Pierre McGuire proclaims that "this guy (Fleury) is having a meltdown" and that the Pens were down 2 goals because their goalie was having a meltdown.

Dan Bylsma calls timeout and rallies his team.

We're not lip readers, but we like to think that he was telling Fleury that he's got this covered. Perhaps also telling him that if it gets to 3-0 he will have to make the change.

Regardless, Fleury and the Penguins responded. Fleury, by getting through the rest of the 1st and 2nd periods without any goals, and the one scored in the 3rd being a bad defensive breakdown.

I guess there is a reason that Dan Bylsma is coaching the Penguins and not Pierre McGuire.
