Perkara ini berlaku minggu lalu dan mengejutkan banyak pihak. Mana tidaknya, selama ini Aaron Aziz dilihat sebagai seorang yang rileks dan cool. Siapa sangka Aaron boleh mengeluarkan kata-kata yang kurang elok didengar menerusi Instagramnya. Kejadian ini berlaku apabila ada peminat Aaron Aziz yang menegur cara duduk anak perempuannya yang dilihat seperti tidak sopan dan menyuruh aktor Singapura itu mengajar anaknya cara-cara duduk yang lebih tertib dan sopan. Gambar tersebut telah dikongsikan oleh Aaron menerusi akaun Instagramnya. Mungkin bengang dengan teguran yang diberikan, Aaron Aziz mengamuk dan mengeluarkan kata-kata berikut di Instagramnya. Agak kasar jugak kan? Namun mungkin cara teguran si peminat itu tidak betul dan kasar sehingga menyebabkan Aaron Aziz melenting. Seharusnya si peminat kenalah bertolak ansur dan tak mengambil pusing sangat. Kanak-kanak standarlah posing macam itu. Dah nama pun kanak-kanak kan? Textile company Jakel Trading (Jakel) launched the Baju Melayu Aaron Aziz line with its celebrity namesake present. Aaron made his debut as the collection's brand ambassador last month and will endorse the line until the end of the festive season. "Cool, stylish and flexible," were the words that popped up in Aaron's mind when asked to describe the ready-made collection. The collection hit the stores on July 10, and is available at all 20 Jakel branches. Jakel general manager Shafarhan Kahar said the company initiated the collection to provide the best quality fabric to fulfil demand from the public. "Jakel wanted to come up with an original, innovative and elegant baju Melayu for the festive season," he said after the launch. Priced between RM110 and RM285, the outfits are available in more than 40 shades. "The variety of colours gives the customers the choice of selecting one that complements their skin tone and body type. "We have been receiving overwhelming response from the public since the line went on sale. "Everyone who came to our shops requested for Baju Melayu Aaron Aziz. It is indeed a one-of-a-kind response from the public," Shafarhan said. Customers who buy the outfit priced from RM150 and above are also entitled to receive a complimentary sampin. "What is unique about this collection is that the baju Melayu also comes in toned colours. For example, the shirt has two tones of blue; one light and one dark coloured." The double toned baju Melayu will be available in stores next week. He said the material of the baju melayu in this special collection sets it apart from the rest. "The Italian fabregas material depicts an elegant look and is cooling to wear," he said, adding that the outfit's finishing is neat. Moreover, the Baju Melayu Aaron Aziz is of hip-length, unlike the regular knee-length shirt. Aaron said he took into consideration the outfit's material, finishing and price range before agreeing on the collaboration with Jakel. "The baju Melayu I endorse must be of good quality, have good finishing work, and most importantly, it must be affordable. "I love the double toned baju Melayu in this collection, since it's one of a kind and has two shades to it, giving it an exquisite look. The colours are attractive, too." A crowd queued up in front of Wisma Jakel since 9am yesterday to meet the nation's much celebrated artiste. The first 200 customers in line received a pair of the limited edition outfit, along with a complimentary sampin, while the rest were given vouchers to purchase outfits at a discounted price. Aaron said he was impressed by the turnout and response from the public, especially since it was the fasting month. "It was such a rousing atmosphere. Parents were queuing up with their kids since morning and welcomed me with smiles." Shafarhan said Jakel was pleased to receive such a positive response from the public. "We would like to thank them for supporting us and hope they will continue to do so in the future." Jakel also held a 10-minute "happy hour" (lelong) session during the event where baju Melayu costing RM350 were sold at RM150, and buyers were given a complimentary sampin worth RM50. "We sold up to 100 Baju Melayu Aaron Aziz in 10 minutes." Shafarhan said Jakel had plans for other clothing lines, such as bridal gowns and suits, and hoped they could collaborate with Aaron again. "We chose Aaron to endorse our new design as we needed an individual who had Malay features and who would look elegant in baju Melayu. Aaron Aziz is the perfect fit for the brand." Aaron will also be at Wisma Jakel Shah Alam at 12.30pm Sunday to promote the collection. |
