| <b>Lisa Surihani</b> Performs Traditional Floral Bath Posted: 22 Feb 2012 04:04 AM PST PETALING JAYA – Left with only one more day until the sweet and beautiful actress, Lisa Surihani ends her single life with popular actor, singer and director Yusry Abdul Halim. Although she grew up in a sophisticated world, Lisa still maintains and practice Malay traditional practices before her wedding ceremony. To fulfill her mother, Siti Amira Ahmad's wishes, Lisa agreed to hold a Malay custom of floral bath, henna ceremony and the khatam Al-Quran ceremony before she becomes someone's wife. "My mother advised that, although she wanted to hold a modest wedding, practices in Malay customs must be done. Hence on February 17, I held a henna and floral bath ceremony at my friend, Huda's house. "Later, two days after that was the khatam Al-Quran ceremony which was held with only female relatives. In fact a week before that, I asked singer Datuk Julie Sudiro to teach me to recite the holy verses of the Al-Quran more fluently," said Lisa quoted from mStar Online. As if still learning how to be a perfect wife, Lisa admitted that her mother gave a lot of advices as preparation to sail into marriage life. Describing marital life as something beautiful, Lisa did not deny that every marriage build would certainly be tested with various problems and that taught her not to unfazed quickly and be smart in controlling her emotions. Hence, Lisa hopes that fans would always pray for her happiness and well-being in her marriage which will be build later. "My mother said, when you are a wife, then you must compromise, not be unfazed and cannot disobey your husband. "She advised on all sorts of matters, and most important, I must know that marriage life is not always beautiful and at times, it can affect you if you do not know how to control emotions. "Insya-Allah, hope I follow every word of her advice. I also hope that everyone out there will pray for our happiness," said Lisa. Yusry and Lisa will be married at Marriot Hotel, Putrajaya on February 23 while the reception ceremony will be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, three days after that.
