The workshop was attended by Somalian refugees aged 14 to 17, and kicked off with a presentation on skin and hygiene by Deborah Henry and Tiz Zaqyah. Sharing tips and tricks on how to look after their skin, Tiz said, "The aim for us was to educate these girls on how important hygiene is towards maintaining their skin. I am a strong believer that we can all care for our skin naturally without having to spend a fortune."
Actress Diana Danielle and Harveen Dhaliwal, co-founders of Luxuria Cosmetics conducted the second segment of the workshop which highlighted the correct techniques of makeup application and educated the girls on which cosmetics best suited their skin. The girls were also given the chance to apply those techniques on themselves and their peers.

"Based on religious and cultural practices that the girls have been brought up with, we thought this would be a great chance to empower them with stylish ways of wearing their hijab and instil confidence in them," said Deborah. The girls were also given a chance to take part in a hijab beauty contest, where models included none other than Deborah Henry, Tiz Zaqyah and Diana Danielle took part.
