1 comment Kuala Lumpur, February 2nd : The early awards for VIMA were announced last night with the big winners being K-Town Clan, Goldkartz, Dragon Red and Altimet.8 categories were announced as a run up to all the main awards ground event on February 19th .
The VIMA Music Awards presented by FMTnews (www.fmtnews.com) will be held from 7pm onwards at Cinta KL and will be an exclusive invite event. The VIMA music awards this year honors independent musicians from Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei with top winners going on to compete with musicians from across the globe in the Bite My Music Global Awards (www.bitemymusic.com)
But the night belonged to Beat The System's "Shine" featuring mainstream act Jaclyn Victor which somehow beat out K-Town Clan's monster rock song, Come Get Some. Altimet created records of sorts by being featured on 3 winning songs – striking Gold with Best music video with Ze on Goldfish & Blink's "In the House" and repeating the feat by being featured on K-Town Clan's Come Get Some which tok home the Best Genre-Bending Song. He bagged a silver by being featured on Diplomats of Drums "Forza" in the same category.
However, VIMA music awards seems to be turning out into the K-Town Clan/Dragon Red/Goldkartz show as they seem to be in unstoppable mood, K-Town with 2 Golds , 1 Silver and 1 Bronze so far.Goldkartz with 2 GOLD, 1 Bronze .
