The Ombak Rindu Limited Edition Stamp Album & SetemKu Folder <b>...</b> Posted: 26 Mar 2012 08:40 PM PDT Film stars and fans gathered at The Hard Rock Cafe, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, 24th March 2012 for the official launch of the Ombak Rindu Limited Edition Stamp Album and SetemKu Folder Set Launch, which kicked off at around 2:30pm with the arrival of invited guests, the media, the movie stars. Maya Karin, Bront Palarae, Azizah Mahzan, Julia Ziegler and Normah Damanhuri were welcomed with much pomp and cheer as they arrived to grace the event. Of course not forgetting the director, Osman Ali, producer, Sharad Sharan, and also a special appearance by film star Farid Kamil. The guests, the stars and the media were ushered into the main area of the launch, to settle in to witness the main event.Once everyone were comfortably seated inside and enjoying some light refreshments, the event started with a short video presentation of the movie. This was then followed by the flawless rendition of the song 'Gemilang' by child performer Wanie, who was the previous winner of the Kamilah Bintang Juara Astro. Everyone present were in utter awe as Wanie mesmerised them with her song. The floor then welcomed a speech by Yang Berbahagia Dato' Khalid Abdol Rahman, Group Chief Executive Officer, Pos Malaysia Berhad. His speech was thereafter followed by another, by Sharad Sharan, the producer. The two VIPs were then invited to officially launch the event by cutting the coloured ribbon in front of an easel portraying the limited edition stamp album, attached to coloured balloons, followed by an explosion and falling coloured snow paper thereat. There was much cheer and applause as the fans and guests continued to take photographs with their favorite movie stars who also autographed their stamp albums and folders. Wanie and Faisal (another child performer) once again mesmerised the crowd with a duet of the original Ombak Rindu soundtrack, as the fans were trying to get as many photographs with their favourite movie stars and as the media conference went on at the same time. Everyone left Hard Rock Cafe that day with big smiles on their faces and I presume, memories to last a lifetime.
