Comedian <b>Saiful Apek</b> all calm over drug charges ABN News | Eng Posted: 27 May 2013 01:21 AM PDT By Shah Shamshiri PETALING JAYA – Top local comedian Mohd. Saifulazam Mohamed Yusoff, or more popularly known as Saiful Apek appeared in the the Petaling Jaya Magistrate Court Monday. The star – once deemed the 'Most Popular Star' in Malaysia at the Anugerah Bintang Popular in 2003, was in court with three other staff of his production company, Gitu Gitu Productions. They were ordered to defend themselves after all four of their urine tests proved positive and contained narcotic substances during the arrest. They were arrested for drug consumption three years ago. The court ordered the case to be mentioned again on July 15 and 18 for a continuation of the trial. "I have gone through all the right procedures and am leaving everything to my lawyer to settle this matter and just hope for the best," the 43-year old actor told ABN News. All four were charged according to Section 15(1)(a) Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and can be punished according to Section 15(1) of the same act which carries a maximum of two years imprisonment or a fine of RM5000.
