| <b>Mia Sara</b> of Ferris Bueller's Day Off: Where Is She Now? | Movies <b>...</b> Posted: 10 Jan 2014 12:45 PM PST Mia gained brief fame in the mid-'80s for her role in Ridley Scott's Legend, and subsequently, the John Hughes classic Ferris Bueller. She found some success throughout the '90s, too, most notably in Timecop. But what is she up to now? While Mia will tell anyone who asks that she's "retired," she still does acting work occasionally — just mostly indie and family projects. Her main gig right now, though, is being a poet and a mom. Mia is married to Jim Henson's son Brian Henson. Living with the couple in Los Angeles are Mia's two children, a tweenage daughter and a teenage son, from her previous marriage to Sean Connery's son, Jason Connery. These kids have some high-profile grandpas! While it might seem really cool to have your mom be the lady in Ferris Bueller, Mia says that they think it's so embarrassing. "There was this year that every one of my son's friends saw [Ferris Bueller], and it was horrifying for him," she told Yahoo, "and now it's happening with my daughter! [...] They think it's really embarrassing." |
