Yuna Kim to skate at 'retirement event' in Seoul - FanSided - Sports ... Posted: 10 Mar 2014 08:08 AM PDT Many were wondering what the next step for 2010 Olympic figure skating champion Yuna Kim would be after being upset by Russian Adelina Sotnikova at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and bringing home the silver medal, but now we have an answer. Kim will be skating at a "farewell event" in her home country of South Korean this May. The event will be held in Seoul from May 4-6 and it is being billed as "Kim's last appearances on ice as a figure skater." The report comes from Yonhap News Agency. "I'd like to come up with a new gala program, since this will be my retirement event," Kim said in a press release. "I'd like to return at least some of the love I've received over the years." The 23 year old is known as one of the most graceful figure skaters in the sport and it will be great to see her take the ice one final time before saying goodbye to her fans. |
