| Asante-<b>Akim</b> North Security Committee urges calm in Agogo <b>...</b> Posted: 13 Feb 2012 06:24 AM PST The Asante-Akim North Municipal Security Committee (MUSEC) has welcomed the decision by the youth of Agogo to lift the ban on funerals to press for the eviction of Fulani herdsmen in the area. A statement signed by its acting Chairman, Police Chief Inspector Kwegyir Aggrey, said this was an important step towards the restoration of peace and security in the area. It, however, expressed concern about what it said were reports that a section of the youth unhappy with the lifting of the ban, have been threatening their leaders. "MUSEC takes serious view of the said threats and harassments and, therefore, accordingly warns that no one should take the law into his or her hands", the statement said. It urged the people to remain calm and avoid acts that were likely to lead to breaches of the law and appealed to them to channel all grievances to the police for redress. The decision to end the ban followed an order by a Kumasi High Court to the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to remove the herdsmen and their cattle from Agogo lands. With this, the youth say, they acknowledge that the matter is now beyond the remit of the chiefs. The Agogo Fulani Herdsmen Evacuation Committee is scheduled to meet all the cattle owners and the landlords at Konongo on Tuesday, February 14. The Committee has directed both the cattle owners and the landlords to come along with agreements between them. Also invited are the Assembly members from Ananekrom, Dukusen, Abrewapon, Pataban, Onyemso and Bebome. A statement by the committee said this was part of efforts at helping to put in place an effective evacuation plan. It called on the people and civil society groups in Agogo to cooperate with it as it executes its mandate in accordance with the high court order. GNA |

Siapa tak kenal Afiq Hakim Bin Ahmad a.k.a Akim AF7 anak jati Johor Bharu yang hensem kacak bergaya tu kan ? HEHE . Tengah pagi buta tadi tepat jam 4.44 pagi , (canthekk nombor!) sedang Lyssa BW sana sini .. Cuba pula Lyssa tekan refresh blog Lyssa ni kan . Agak sedikit terkejut masa pukul 4.00 pagi tu followers blog Lyssa ada 46 227 orang . Ntah macam mana , masa tu , tiba-tiba naik sorang ni . Dalam hati Lyssa , "ada jugak orang nak follow blog aku ni tengah pagi buta gini..?'' . Dengan pantas dan secara drastiknya Lyssa halakan cursor Lyssa di muka jejaka tampan tersebut di bahagian jantung hati tuu . Opss . Nama "Akim Sound" ! Erghh . Siapa pulak ni ?
