Norman, <b>Memey</b> Tie the Knot Posted: 24 Sep 2011 05:22 AM PDT

KOTA TINGGI, 24 SEPTEMBER, 2011: Artists, Norman Hakim, 35, and Memey Suhaiza, 23, were married today after a one-year engagement.   The marriage was solemnised by Mukim Kambau marriage official Zulkipli Tarmizi at Memey's family house in Felda Tenggaroh Selatan I here at 5.10pm and attended by family members of both sides.     Norman's children from his previous marriage with actress Abby Abadi, namely Mohamed Danish Hakim, 8, and Marissa Dania Hakim, 6, were also present.     Norman presented Memey or Suhaiza Suhaimi with five trays of gifts and a RM24,000 dowry while Memey responded with seven trays of gifts.     Memey, who was wearing a pearl-encrusted dress, jewellery and shoes, all worth RM7.2 million, spoke of her delight that the event went smoothly.     On the other hand, Norman, who fought back tears, said he had no qualm about Memey continuing her acting career and would lend his support.     Norman said they planned to go for their honeymoon in Paris and Mecca but had yet to set the dates as they were tied down to their acting schedules until year-end.     The couple will hold a wedding reception at Memey's family house tomorrow as well as at Crowne Plaza Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.     - Bernama
