Mengimbas semula majlis pertunangan mereka yang berlangsung di Dewan Berjaya, Bukit Kiara Equestrian Resort, Kuala Lumpur, ia diadakan dalam majlis yang serba mewah. Malah, Elly turut dibawa menaiki kereta kuda menuju ke dewan. Mengikut perancangan pasangan itu sepatutnya diijabkabulkan pada Februari lalu, namun pelantun lagu Sutera Kasih itu pernah memberitahu perkahwinan mereka terpaksa ditunda pada bulan Disember 2012. Bagaimanapun, Elly yang ditemui pada penggambaran drama Bazar Al-Mubarak baru-baru ini menyatakan tidak dapat memberikan tarikh rasmi mengenai majlis pernikahan mereka.
