| Asante-<b>Akim</b> North Finally Confirms DCE | Ghanamma.com Posted: 13 Feb 2014 01:00 AM PST The Asante-Akim North District Assembly has endorsed Mr. Daniel Osei as the District Chief Executive (DCE) at a special meeting held at Agogo. He polled 29 out of the 31 votes cast, to meet the mandatory two-thirds majority, needed to be confirmed. This came barely five days after he failed to get the needed votes. The event was, however, not without drama. Just before the voting started, seven government appointees of the assembly, in a surprise move,were replaced and that appeared to have done the trick, breaking the deadlock. Anxious supporters of Mr. Osei, who had thronged the place burst into jubilation immediately after the vote count and declaration of the results. Mr Osei thanked the assembly members for their support and pledged to bring progress to the area and raise the living standards of the people. He called for unity, mutual understanding and teamwork to tackle the development challenges of the district, which is among the newly created districts. Comments |

Beberapa hari lepas Akim Ahmad ada berkongsi beberapa kemaskini di laman sosial Twitter meluahkan perasaan kecewanya. Dengan membaca tajuk di atas pasti ramai pembaca di luar sana yang tertanya-tanya apakah punca Akim merasa kecewa. Adakah Akim mempunyai masalah dengan Stacy yang pernah digosipkan bercinta dengannya? Namun begitu, diharapnya para peminat Akim dan Stacy tidak cepat melatah kerana penyanyi ini sebenarnya kecewa apabila dua buah lagunya tidak berjaya memasuki pertandingan akhir Anugerah Juara Lagu ke-28 (AJL28). Artikel berkaitan: Terdahulu, Akim mempertaruhkan lagu Menunggumu dan sebuah lagi lagu berjudul Kembali yang merupakan duetnya bersama Stacy hingga ke peringkat separuh akhir.
Menerusi beberapa statusnya di laman sosial tersebut, Akim menyatakan berkemungkinan besar tidak akan menyertai AJL pada tahun hadapan selepas penyertaannya selama empat tahun selama ini cuma layak ke peringkat semi final sahaja.
Dalam masa yang sama, Akim turut menafikan dirinya mengalah sebaliknya hanya enggan mencalonkan karyanya dalam pertandingan tersebut pada tahun hadapan. Tapi bila difikirkan semula, lagu-lagu Akim yang tercalon pada tahun ini boleh tahan sedap juga. Namun mungkin karya muzik penyanyi yang lain lebih menepati citarasa juri dan peminat. |
