Zed Zaidi Not Happy With Aaron Aziz's Victory Posted: 09 Apr 2012 04:00 AM PDT Wow apparently not even 24 hours after the Singaporean actor, Aaron Aziz won two trophies at the 2011 Berita Harian Most Popular Artist (ABPBH2011) last night, there are already 'sounds' from people who are not happy with his success. The most vocal of them all is Deputy of the Seniman Association Malaysia (SENIMAN) himself, Zed Zaidi. Zed expressed his feelings on his twitter site. However what was unpleasant was Zed also appeared to be 'insinuating' Malaysians who gave the victory to Aaron. For me, it is not wrong to have patriotic spirit but there is no need to talk like that at all. We as human have various tastes…lets say Zed likes to eat capati, that does not mean Zed glorifies India or Pakistan. In this matter, if Malaysians choose Aaron, that does not mean they are not patriotic or over worship foreign artists. Zed should take the positive of Aaron's victory by making it into a challenge to strive more harder so he could compete with that actor. In the SENIMAN context itself, for instance, Zed must strive to make the association stronger and guide its members so they are 10 times or if possible hundreds of times more capable and better than Aaron. I believe, not all of them who voted for Aaron did that only because of his looks, but it is due to the actor's capability in producing impressive acting quality. In this matter, I am confident there will be more local actors who are more talented, greater than Aaron himself emerge because history has proven that we are not short of groups like this. Aaron is also not a 'parachute' actor, he also started from below before he is known like now. Actually, I am quite worried about Zed…apparently since lately there are so many controversy related to him. Then there was this uproar about his proposal requesting the government to consider the Housing Project for the Hardcore Poor (PPRT) for artists. Apparently he spoke incorrectly, Zed eventually explained that what he meant was the 1Malaysia Housing Project (PRIMA). The latest, his own leader who is also the SENIMAN President, Harun Salim Bachik 'pounded' him. Zed Zaidi was said to have disregard and did not discuss any matter with Harun before it was highlighted until it caused tension between the both of them. Anyhow, I believe that Zed Zaidi has leadership talent and loves this industry. Only when being an 'important person', what one wants to say, what one wants to tweet, it should be guarded and controlled first because if it is the wrong approach, oneself will get the effect. Aaron Aziz Answers Nail Issue...That's A Man's Nail Posted: 06 Apr 2012 02:06 AM PDT Apparently Aaron Aziz's aura is still greatly talked about…in fact the issue about his nails reputed to be 'ugly' has also become a topic and discussed on gossip and forum sites online. It all started when yesterday Aaron showed his original identification card to a photographer as a reaction to the picture of his fake identification card which is wildly circulated. And when the photographer took a close up picture of his identification card, the Singaporean actor's finger shape was obviously notable. You have to remember, this professional photographer's camera is not cheap, if they do a close up on a certain object, sometimes you can even see dust! In this matter, the picture of Aaron's nail was clear…his nail looked like it was not 'managed' with care. What else, it became a 'topic' online. Perhaps he realized that his nail was greatly talked about, so Aaron casually respond to the issue on his twitter. "Smile! No need to say anything! Smile! That is what you call a man's nail hehehehe. "Hand and fingers certainly do have many cuts. After all those are nails of KL Gangster2 which recently ended." Not enough with that, Aaron also uploaded a picture of his latest nails for his fans, which is another matter. Apparently that is the price you have to pay if you are a celebrity, everything is talked about from identification card to nails. I wonder what else would be said about Aaron after this. Kenny Loh of Lord's Tailor and Aaron Aziz the Malaysian top star! Kenny Loh and Aaron Aziz looking spiffy in Lord's Tailor suits Two sartorial winners! Kee Hua Chee and Aaron Aziz who won 2 awards at Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2012 on Easter Sunday, 8 April 2012 Two stars; Kee Hua Chee and Aaron Aziz Two winners; Kee Hua Chee in his hand painted shirt and pants and Aaron Aziz in his Lord's Tailor suit worth RM 5,000 Fizz Fairuz being spruced up by Kenny Loh The owners of Lord's Tailor; Kenny Loh, Loh Lee Lee and Robert Loh FOR THE 6TH YEAR RUNNING, LORD'S TAILOR, THE BEST MENSWEAR TAILOR NOT ONLY IN MALAYSIA BUT IN SOUTHEAST ASIA AND POSSIBLY ASIA, HAND PICKED 12 LEADING MALAY MALE STARS OF SCREEN AND SONG TO WEAR THEIR ATTIRE. "Lord's Tailor chose 12 of Malaysia's top male stars this year to wear our garments for the Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian which was held at Genting Highlands' Arena of Stars on 8 April 2012 on Sunday," explains Kenny Loh, managing director of Lord's Tailor and son/scion/inheritor of Lord's Tailor as his father Robert Loh started the menswear tailoring business decades ago. Lord's Tailor most famous client is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad who gave a glowing report on his patronage for the last 27 years and remains a client. Continues Kenny Loh, "Lord's Tailor has been a sponsor of Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian for the last 6 years. We feel honoured the male actors, singers and entertainers are happy to wear our suits and some have won Best Dressed as a result. Many have won wearing our garments and even consider them a form of lucky mascot. "We are particularly pleased to sponsor 12 Malay male stars for the 25th Silver Anniversary of Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2012. This year's edition was very special as it has been 25 years for the award and 55 years for Berita Harian as a daily." Of course he was bursting with pride when one of his divine dozen selected by him won 3 awards wearing his suit. "Based on his track record, I was sure Aaron Aziz would win Most Popular Star award the Anugerah Bintang Paling Popular Angerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian and he did! Aaron Aziz also won Most Popular Male Actor or Pelakon Filem Lelaki Popular. In fact I expected him to also win Most Popular Male TV Actor award or Pelakon TV Lelaki Popular but he didn't. However it went to Fizz Fairuz who was one of the 12 stars I selected so that was fine as Fizz wore Lord's Tailor when accepting the award!" A win-win situation! You turn left, you win. You turn right, you win. Sounds a bit like my blessed life. I only started blogging (to great success!) as I lost a retainership so I moaned to my big boss at The Star who snapped, "Told you a million times to start your own blog!". So I stopped whimpering and whining like a dog and learned how to upload my photos as my Big Boss had initiated it 3 or 4 years ago but I was half-hearted and it went into a hiatus but now the hibernation's over! Anyway, I was at Lord's Tailor boutique at Bangsar Shopping Centre 2 days before Easter Sunday 8 April to mingle with the stars as I only hobnob with winners as I wait for losers to climb to the top! I agree with Kenny Loh Aaron Aziz should win as he had been chalking up awards all of last year and he was a shoo-in. But I also met Fadlan, the up and coming hot new star who I predict will be Malaysia's Next Big Idol! Tall, handsome and fair skinned, he is barely 20 and so gorgeous I was shocked to death he was not from Kota Baru, Kelantan as the good-lookers and sexy stunners all come from my home town and state! Maybe he was conceived there while his parents were visiting Kota Baru and born in Kuala Lumpur 9 months later. Or he has one parent from Kelantan. I will confirm with him and let you dear readers know as I am sure all of you cannot eat, sleep and wank until you know more details about this hotshot young hunk.
