Kupasan – An intimate evening with <b>Stephen</b> Posted: 27 Jun 2012 06:21 PM PDT Fans would be happy to know that they can get up close and personal with Rahman-Hughes at his first showcase, For One Night Only —Stephen Rahman-Hughes. It's tonight at 9pm at Seduction Club in Jalan P. Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur. He will serenade fans with five songs from his self-titled debut album. "I haven't had the chance to perform them live yet, so this is a great opportunity for me to introduce my songs to the Kuala Lumpur audience." At a Press conference yesterday, Rahman-Hughes explained that he wanted the audience at his showcase to sit back and relax, connect to the songs and get a bit more of an insight into who he is as a singer. Based on his previous credits, which includes extravagant performances on big stages, Rahman-Hughes is more familiar with big productions. However, he welcomes a more intimate crowd and show this time. "I just want to enjoy it myself, as much as I want the audience to enjoy it. I want the chance to enjoy the material I've made, rather than sing in a way that may be expected of me." Rahman-Hughes  also hopes to mingle with the audience afterwards. "I want to be able to be on the ground, rather than the guy on stage that you never get to have any contact with." He promised that there will be some dancing involved. For the hour-long show, Rahman-Hughes plans to sing at least 10 songs including current chart-toppers such as one by Adele. "The more they (audience) want, the more we'll perform," he said, referring to the four-piece live band that will accompany him. FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY Tickets RM80, with a free drink.
