Pentecost Church Dedicates <b>Akim</b> Tafo Auditorium | Daily Guide <b>...</b> Posted: 06 Oct 2012 04:46 AM PDT A group picture of some of the dignitaries inside the auditorium THE CHURCH of Pentecost, New Tafo-Akim district in the Koforidua area of the Eastern region has held a ceremony to dedicate its renovated modern church auditorium. The District Pastor, Rev. Bright Ashong, who spoke to DAILY GUIDE at New Tafo-Akim, said the renovation work took nearly four months to complete. He said funding for the 1,500-seater auditorium project was raised through fund raising programmes organized by the church's District Planning and Estate Committee. He said donations were also made by persons who shared in their vision of putting up the auditorium while others such as   carpenters and masons volunteered their services free of charge to help with the work thereby cutting down construction cost. The dedication ceremony which coincided with the 50th anniversary celebration of the New Tafo-Akim Church of Pentecost was performed by Apostle Francis Ofori-Yeboah, La Area Head of the church. He was assisted by Apostle Kingsley Anthony Miah, the host area head. Chairman of the Planning and Estate Committee, Elder Dr. Akumfi Ameyaw praised members of the church for their commitment in supporting the completion of what he described as a beautiful edifice.
