We &#39;Wanna Go&#39; With <b>Yuna</b> » SOULBOUNCE.COM

Last week we brought you Yuna's soulful "Let Love Come Through," and this week she adds more evidence to argument that her upcoming Sixth Street EP will make heads turn and bodies roll. "I Wanna Go" is lighter fare, perfect for spring flings and feel-good moments. Yuna shows her versatility in a way similar to Corinne Bailey Rae in that she can summon different influences on a record, whether it is R&B or pop, and it can still sound cohesive. With Sixth Street dropping May 7th, we can't wait to travel down that road and hear what else Yuna has in store for us.

Malaysia's biggest music artiste, Yuna is back for a special showcase at Publika on April 30th,2013.

The showcase titled "#MHmoments with Yuna brought to you by Malaysia Airlines", will also be the platform where  the national carrier will be announcing Yuna as Malaysia Airlines' Social Media Ambassador.

Yuna's meteoric rise to superstardom has been the stuff of legends, and from her humble days of walking away with a Best Pop Act award at VIMA 2008 to being signed to David Foster's Verve label in US,  she has been chalking up achievements and accolades that have gone far beyond the usual corridors of the local music scene.

Her ambassadorship with Malaysian Airlines seems a perfect fit as she continues to grow her career on a global level that has also seen her collaborate with Grammy winner Pharell and singing the latest theme song of the Dreamworks animated feature, Croods.

The showcase will also feature opening performances by recent VIMA-Sony Song of The Year recipient, Bihzhu as well as AIM award winner Salam Musik.

There will also be a prize-giving ceremony for Malaysia Airlines' 'Round the World' social media challenge on Facebook which offers a total of 7.5 million Enrich points, as well as two other social media initiatives which will be shared during this occasion.

Fresh off her 2012 self-titled debut album and Owl City duet "Shine Your Way" from the soundtrack to The Croods, Yuna is giving us the gift of her bright and breezy pop once again in the form of her Sixth Street EP, due out on May 7. The five tracks on the digital-only release are wrapped in a certain kind of warmth — and there's a reason for that! "All of the songs were written in my apartment where I'm most comfortable, and at that point I understood who I was and knew what I was feeling about life," Yuna says of Sixth Street.

Today Idolator is premiering "Let Love Come Through" off the EP. Jazzy, smooth and with just the right infusion of summertime cool, the song kicks off with a rap by Kyle before Yuna's soothing vocals and thick, retro synths take over.
