Eastern regional Minister sure of winning <b>Akim</b> Swedru <b>...</b> Posted: 21 Dec 2011 09:53 AM PST Mr Kwesi Akyem Apea Kubi, Eastern Regional Minister, has said that his chances of winning the parliamentary seat was bright due to the hard work and commitment he had exhibited in the region. He said he had been able to implement most of the government led development projects in the district adding that he has been with the people and had won their confidence. Mr Apea-Kubi said this during a meeting with members of Parliament from the region at the Parliament house in Accra on Wednesday. The meeting was a fulfillment of a promise he made when he was being vetted as the Regional Minister that he would bring members of Parliament in his region together and dialogue with them to determine their future plans for the development of the region. He said he was aiming at enhancing the level of education and creating jobs for the people by establishing agro-processing industries. Mr Apea-Kubi said it was his intension to lead the people and ensure they benefit from his rich experience. He said MPs represent the people and talk for them so interacting with members of parliament whether from a different political divide would ensure political tension is reduced especially as the year 2012 was an election year.
