20/20 RB Rankings Recap: Pierre Thomas, Andre Brown, Vick ... Posted: 06 Nov 2012 06:52 PM PST Here's a quick recap on how we did in our projections from last week. Ranking players, calling stats and if you should start or sit players is risky business. In an effort to have full disclosure this week, we reflect back on these picks…hindsight is 20/20! Ranking and projected stats from last week:
How did we actually do with week 9 stats now in the books and the players re-ranked?
Recap: Pierre Thomas split carries with Ivory and Ingram which cut into his productivity. He did get the ball a few times in the red zone but just couldn't punch it in. Based on the number of points he ended up scoring, Thomas ended up being a "sit". Andre Brown would've been a "sit" as well if he didn't score a TD. Bradshaw got the start and had twice as many carries as Brown but actually had less point because he didn't score. Moving forward, Brown is worth starting if Bradshaw sits. But if not, don't count on too many points from him. Vick Ballard had a decent game with a nice mix of rushing and receiving yards. Had he scored a TD, he would've been a low-end #1 RB. Instead, he was a low-end #2 this week. With the Colts offense rolling, look for more good games from Ballard. Who knew Isaac Redman had that kind of game in him!?! He churned up the Giants D and made Steelers fans forget about Dwyer and Mendenhall. He was a top 5 RB this week but don't rely on him for that every week especially once the other two come back healthy. |
