Remembering MH370: Faith by Faizal Tahir ft Jaclyn Victor | My ... Posted: 16 Apr 2014 08:59 AM PDT 16/04/2014 There has been no updates for the past weeks regarding MH370 because there are no certain/definite news from the searching teams besides the four sets of signals received. However, the followings are a few salient points from the updates which I think is worth to have a quick read. 1. There was a report on oil slick detection within the search area where the underwater signals were obtained. The searching team is now sending the samples back to shore for testing. There has been no reports on the lab result yet. 2. The only shocking news that I had read about, and, caught most of my attention was about the co-pilot desperate final call from the plane! According to an anonymous sauce as quoted by News Straits Times, investigators had just learnt that the co-pilot, Fariq Abdul Hamid had once made a call from his phone when the plane when the plane was flying near Penang, at an altitude low enough for the nearest telecommunication tower to pick up his phone's signal. However, the call had ended abruptly, but not before contact was established with a telecommunication sub-station in the state. The "disconnection" could be due to the fast moving plane leaving away from the tower and had not come under the coverage of the next one. However, Hishammuddin had rejected the claims, saying that the government cannot accept baseless reports and leads unless these information had been verified.
3. Since the search teams had failed to retrieve any underwater signals after the four signals, the teams are now in fear that the batteries from the black box may have died, at such, robotic submersible will be sent down to the floor of the southern Indian Ocean to scour for wreckage at a walking pace while visual search for debris continues. It is definitely a long haul in search for the missing plane, thus, I think the Australian government has really done a tremendous, wonderful job in this matter. Thank you…thank you.. Finally, I would like to share a song that I've heard this evening.. a song by local artists, Faizal Tahir and Jaclyn Victor, dedicated to all the families, relatives and friends of the passengers and a tribute to MH370. Keep strong, stay strong, stay positive, be brave, be tough….~ |
